Boone County TRAINING CLASSES (Held twice a year)

Volunteer Requirements

·        All volunteers must be at least 18 years of age.

·        All volunteers must complete the 24-hour CERT training. Classes are 8 weeks long.  Weds Nights 6pm to 9pm (only one class may be missed)

·         Upon completion of the full 24-hour class, participants have the option to become a Citizen Corps CERT volunteer and assist professional emergency services following a disaster.

·        All volunteer must complete necessary documentation.

·        All volunteers must submit to a background check due to the sensitive nature of our potential assignments

·        Enrollingin a CERT course does not obligate you to become a CERT volunteer.

TRAINING     (Weds  6pm – 9pm for 8wks)

Basic CERT Training Program begins Wednesday   September 15th, 2010   @  6:00 pm  at the                                                                                                                                           Belvidere  Township  Building

Classes are Wednesday from 6-9pm for 8 weeks. 

 Final / DisasterSimulation and Testing is Saturday November 6th, 2010.
