Boone County TRAINING CLASSES (Held twice a year)

Volunteer Requirements

·        All volunteers must be at least 18 years of age.

·        All volunteers must complete the 24-hour CERT training. Classes are 8 weeks long.  WEDS Nights 6pm to 9pm (only one class may be missed)

·         Upon completion of the full 24-hourclass, participants have the option to become a  Citizen Corps CERTvolunteer and assist professional emergency services following a disaster.

·        All volunteer must complete necessary documentation.

·        All volunteers must submit to a background check due to the sensitive nature of our potential assignments

·        Enrolling in a CERT course does not obligate you to become a CERT volunteer.

TRAINING

Basic CERT Training Program begins  WEDNESDAY September 15th,2010  @ 6:00pm at the Belvidere Township Building. 8200 Fairgrounds Rd. Belvidere,IL. 61008

 Classes are  Wednesday  from 6-9pm for 8 weeks. 

 Final / DisasterSimulation and Testing is Saturday  November 6th, 2010.
