Boone County  CERT  TRAINING CLASSES

Volunteer Requirements

·        Allvolunteers must be at least 18 years of age.

·        Allvolunteers must complete the 24-hour CERT training. Classes are 9 weekslong. Weds Nights 6pm to 9pm (only one class may be missed)

·         Upon completion of the full 24-hourclass, participants have the option to become a  Citizen Corps CERTvolunteer and assist professional emergency services following a disaster.

·        Allvolunteer must complete necessary documentation.

·        Allvolunteers must submit to a background check dueto the sensitive nature of our potential assignments

·        Enrollingin a CERT course does not obligate you to become a CERT volunteer.

TRAINING

Basic CERT Training Program begins Wednesday March 23rd,2011  @ 6:00pm at the Belvidere Township Building. 8200 Fairgrounds Rd. Belvidere,IL. 61008

 Classes areWednesday  from 6-9pm for  9 weeks. 

 Final / DisasterSimulation and Testing is Saturday May 21st, 2011.
